1.Introduction
We would like to thank you for choosing Fastex. Built compatibly with the latest version of WordPress and page builder plugin Visual Composer, Eduma 3.0 promises to give you awesome experiences in creating your own education websites.
1.1.Requirements
There are system requirements in order to install and setup the Fastex theme and its components properly. Make sure that you are running the latest version of WordPress, PHP version 7.0 or higher and MySQL version 5.7 or higher. We also recommend the following PHP configuration limits:
Recommended hosting configuration
- vCPU: 3
- Memory (RAM): 3 GB
- SSD Storage: 60 GB
Recommended PHP configuration limits
- upload_max_filesize = 32M
- post_max_size = 32M
- max_execution_time = 300
- max_input_time = 300
- memory_limit = 256M
Please contact your service provider to verify your current PHP limits and have them set it up again if needed.
Note: Once you successfully install and activate the Fastex theme, Fastex Dashboard will be added to your WordPress menu. You can verify those requirements under Fastex > System Status
1.2.What's Included
After purchasing Eduma theme on themeforest.net with your Envato account, go to your Download page. You can choose to download Eduma theme only (Installable WordPress Theme) or the entire Eduma theme package which contains the following files:
- Eduma theme: An Installable WordPress Theme zip file.
- Eduma child-theme: A child-theme zip file and a readme.txt note about the child-theme.
- Documentation: A link to this documentation.
- Licensing.
2.Installation
You can install Fastex theme via 2 ways: Via WordPress or via FTP
2.1.Via WordPress
Follow these steps below to install the Landscaping theme via WordPress:
Step 1. Visit Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Add New.
Step 2. Click Upload Theme.
Step 3. Browse the eduma.zip file (not the theme package zip file) on your computer and click Install Now.
Step 4. Activate Eduma theme.
Step 5. Enable Thim Core to activate the core of Eduma and start importing the demo data process.
*NOTE: One possible problem when importing Demo is that the theme is missing the style.css style sheet.

2.2.Via FTP
Follow these steps below to install Eduma theme via FTP:
Step 1. Login your FTP account via FTP software to access your host web server.
Step 2. Extract eduma.zip file.
Step 3. Upload the extracted folder eduma to the wp-content/themes folder.
Step 4. Activate Eduma theme in Dashboard > Appearance > Themes.
Step 5. Enable Thim Core to activate the core of Eduma and start importing the demo data process.
3.Getting Started
Once you successfully install and activate Eduma theme, Eduma Dashboard will be added to your WordPress menu.
Now you can get started to set up your site with Eduma. You will walk through the following steps:

3.1.Import Demo
Thim Core Demo Importer
Thim Core is a required plugin for the Eduma theme. This plugin is a demo importer that imports all posts/pages, sample sliders, widgets, customization, and more.
Follow these steps below to import demo via Thim Core:
Step 1 – Visit Dashboard > Eduma > Import Demo.
Step 2 – Select the page builder you want
Step 2 – Hover on the demo you want and click Install
Step 3 – Select what type of content you want to import and click Import.
The importing process may take up to 5 minutes.
Note:
- If you want to build an offline course sale website you can use the following demos: Demo New Art, Demo Kid Art – Offline, Demo Kindergarten – Offline.
- On each website, you can only use one demo.
3.2.Child Them
Follow the steps below to enter Kids Topics:
Step 1 – Go to Dashboard> Eduma> Child Themes
Step 2 – Click Install / Activate
Note:
- When you import demos: Kindergarten, New Edu, New Instructor, Crypto, New Art, Kid Art, Tech Camp, child theme will be imported with the demo, you don’t need to install child theme anymore.
- Other demos do not have their own child theme, you can install and use the Eduma child theme.
4.Customization
You are able to customize your website in Dashboard > Appearance > Customize

4.1.1.Site Identity
To change Site Identity parts like Site Title, Tagline, you need to go to your Dashboard => Settings => General, then edit it.
If you use plugin Yoast SEO, you can click “Edit Page” on the admin bar on the home page, then scroll down to the Yoast SEO section => Edit snippet => SEO title, then edit it

4.2.Page Settings
Eduma theme allows to customize a single Post or Page.
When using Eduma, you will see extra settings ‘Display settings’ on your ‘Screen Options’
- By enabling ‘Display settings’, you will see new settings Featured Title Area and Layout in your Posts and Pages.
5.Recommended image size
To decrease your data storage, you should use the minimum size for your image. You can use the below size:
Header images: 1841 x 514 px.
Course, blog featured images: 870×580 px.
Slider Revolution on the homepage: 1920 x 1280 px.
Category icon images: 64 x 64 px.
Background image heading for category: 150 x 100 px.
6.Update Theme
You can update Eduma theme via 2 ways: via Thim Core and via FTP.
6.1.Via Thim Core
Thim Core plugin allows to update theme without resetting your previous settings. However, you should always backup your files and databases before updating.
Follow these steps below to update Eduma theme via Thim Core:
Step 1 – Visit Eduma > Dashboard and login with your Envato account.
Step 2 – Click Update now.
6.2.Via FTP
Follow these steps below to update theme via FTP:
Step 1. Login your Envato account. In Download tab, find Eduma and choose the Installable WordPress Theme (the WordPress file).
Step 2. Login your server and go to wp-content/themes folder to backup your eduma theme folder if needed. The contents on your site will not be lost but if you have modified the code then the changes will be lost. You have to reapply them again after updating.
Step 3. Extract eduma.zip that you downloaded from themeforest.net
Step 4. Upload new theme folder eduma to wp-content/theme to override the existing files.

- To edit blocks on the homepage, please go to Homepage => Edit With Elementor, click the block you want to edit, and edit it on the Elementor editing panel.

- Copyright text: Please go to Dashboard => Appearance => Customize => Footer => Copyright => Copyright text.
- Menu Privacy: Please go to Dashboard => Appearance => Widgets => Copyright.
9.1.5.Courses
- To edit the course elements such as Course overview, lessons, quizzes, … with Elementor, you need to enable Elementor’s editing permission.

To edit the blocks on the homepage, please go to Dashboard -> Page -> Home => Edit

9.3.1.1.Tool Bar
There are two sections on the toolbar: a text widget and Thim: Login Popup
To edit those widgets, you can go to your Dashboard => Appearance => Widget => Toolbar, then edit those widgets.
This is our default Text widget on the toolbar:

To change the background of the toolbar, you need to go to your Dashboard => Appearance => Customize => Header => Toolbar, then change the background color.
To change the font and size of the texts on the toolbar, you need to go to your Dashboard => Appearance => Customize => General => Typography, then change the font and font size of the whole website.
If you don’t see the Register option on your Login Popup. The reason is you didn’t enable the register option on your website.
To enable it, you need to go to your Dashboard => Settings => General => General Settings => Membership => enable it
9.3.1.3.Slider Revolution
To edit the texts, animations, layout of the slide on the homepage, access your Dashboard => Slider Revolution, choose your slide then edit it.

9.3.1.4.Icon Boxes
You can change text, icon, and the link when users click on that icon.
9.3.1.5.Popular Courses
To edit the Popular Courses section, you can edit the homepage then edit the widget Thim: Courses.
To remove the instructor name from this section, you need to add CSS in Dashboard => Appearance => Customize => General => Custom CSS & JS => Custom CSS
CSS to remove instructor name:

9.3.1.6.Register Now
To edit the background of this section, you need to edit your homepage and the row contains this section.
To edit the texts in this section, just need to edit the text widget.
To edit the “GET IT NOW” form, you need to edit the Text widget on the right and edit the contact form.
You need to find the ID of the form, and you must configure the email of the form to get the email.
If you have any issues about receiving emails with this form, please contact plugin Contact Form 7.

With the countdown clock, you can edit the texts, end time, and style.

This section will display the testimonials item on your Dashboard => Testimonials, you can create and edit text, image of the items.
With the testimonials widget, you can change the layout, the number of items, and play speed.
9.3.1.10.Subscribe
This section is from the plugin MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress.
You can edit the form in Dashboard => MC4WP => Forms.
You need to enter your API key to use the form.
This is our default form:

When you import our Demo, the data is from ours and the ID form is 3101. You need to edit change it in the text widget.
